Reebok Releases UNIVERSAL Monsters inspired Shoe Collection

As a longtime horror movie enthusiast who has spent countless Halloweens immersed in the world of Universal Monsters, I must say that Reebok’s “Boktober” collaboration is nothing short of a dream come true! With each shoe paying homage to iconic creatures from my favorite classic films, this collection strikes the perfect balance between style and nostalgia.

Shoe brand Reebok is releasing a new Halloween-inspired collection in collaboration with Universal Monsters called “Boktober.” The collection includes five different styles of sneakers, each taking style inspiration from a different Universal monster. The iconic creatures represented in the collaboration are DraculaFrankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Creature from the Black Lagoon, and Wolfman.

Reebok x Universal Monsters InstaPump Fury 94 Mid Shoes

These InstaPump Fury 94 Mid Shoes are a tribute to the iconic creature from the movie “Creature from the Black Lagoon.” This specific shoe model is released in celebration of the film’s 70th anniversary and the 30th anniversary of Reebok’s Instapump Fury line. The shoes feature a slimy algae-inspired pattern, reminiscent of Gill-man’s habitat, and parts that resemble the moss where he dwells. The shoe’s base boasts a scaly reptile-like pattern. The “Creature” version of the InstaPump Fury will be available for purchase at $220.

Reebok x Universal Monsters Pump TZ Basketball Shoes

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve got these Pump TZ kicks that are inspired by none other than the legendary monster, Frankenstein, set to make a comeback with Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming movie, “Frankenstein”. The shoes feature artificial stains that mimic the aged glue from the original story, plus decorative stitching and metallic hardware reminiscent of Frankenstein’s bolts and staples. To top it off, a translucent, aged rubber outsole gives the impression of well-worn shoes. These bad boys cost $180.

Reebok x Universal Monsters BB 4000 II Basketball Shoes

The BB 4000 II footwear is designed around the iconic figure of Dracula, the undisputed pioneer of vampire lore in popular culture. While not everyone’s preferred choice when compared to Mavis from Hotel Transylvania, Dracula remains the most recognized symbol of the vampire craze. The shoe boasts a patent leather material that changes hues over time, transitioning from a rich deep red-black to a vivid blood red as it ages. The tongue and inner lining of the shoe bear subtle nods to Dracula. On the bottom, the appearance suggests that its wearer has walked through pooled blood. The shoe is priced at $130.

Reebok x Universal Monsters Club C Megacourt Shoes

These Club C Megacourts shoes draw inspiration from the 1935 movie “Bride of Frankenstein,” a sequel to Universal’s initial “Frankenstein” film. The shoelaces reflect the iconic hair of the Bride of Frankenstein, featuring a distressed and two-toned design in white and black. White decorative stitches run throughout the shoe, reminiscent of the stitching on her face and bandages. Additionally, the shoe’s liner carries a nod to its source of inspiration. The shoes are available for purchase at $120.

Reebok x Universal Monsters Club C Bulc Shoes

These Club C Bulcs draw inspiration from Universal’s 1941 film, “The Wolfman.” The main antagonist in this movie was a werewolf, and these sneakers replicate the furry texture of the Wolfman’s coat seen in the film on their upper suede part. Just like other shoes in the collection, the lining inside has the movie printed on it. Additionally, the tongue shows signs of distress with scratch marks, and there are blood-like stains on the shoe lining. Each pair sells for $120.

Among so many shoe choices, it can be quite challenging to pick the ideal pair, whether for a Halloween movie binge or a dash during Universal Horror Nights’ escape. The Universal Monsters collaboration with Reebok launches on October 11 at 10 AM EST, available online at Reebok.com and selected retailers.
