Fans are eagerly awaiting the next Dune movie, and early looks at Dune: Part Three are stunning, featuring the return of beloved actors like Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica. However, Ferguson recently shared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that her character will only appear in a single scene in the film.
I’ve read the script and think it’s going to be amazing,” Ferguson said. “Originally, my character wasn’t even planned to be in the third installment, but Denis [Villeneuve] really wanted me for at least one scene, so I got one.”
It makes sense that Rebecca Ferguson won’t be in Dune: Part Three because the book it’s based on, Dune Messiah, doesn’t feature her character. While she was disappointed about not being involved, she joked about being okay with potentially earning a lot of money for an easier workload—which is a relatable goal! Dune: Part Three is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 18th.
