Despite appearing as if they’re digitally created, these intricate pumpkin carvings are indeed authentic. At first, they might seem like unfinished pumpkins with irregular shapes, but once illuminated from within, they transform into breathtaking works of art. Karrah Youngblood, a renowned pumpkin carving artist, has been garnering attention on TikTok for her exceptionally realistic carvings.

Hailing from Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Youngblood has been garnering attention for her intricate pumpkin carvings that resemble famous celebrities’ faces. The likes of Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, and Zendaya are among the many stars whose visages she has recreated. Subsequently, I utilize thumbtacks to imprint the design onto a pumpkin, serving as my compass throughout the carving process.

Initially, they might not seem impressive, but upon closer inspection, these pumpkins truly shine once illuminated from within. The intricate details and depth become apparent with light. Her viral videos play on the initial underwhelming appearance of unlit pumpkins, followed by a surprise reveal as the lights are turned off and then back on to showcase their stunning interiors.

Youngblood’s TikTok videos have attracted over 20 million views, and the comments section is overflowing with admiration ranging from “This needs to be in a museum” to “I want 12 of them!” During an interview with NPR, Youngblood emphasized the significance of public support in her work.
