Searchlight Pictures has released the first trailer for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, offering fans a sneak peek at the sequel to the popular 2019 horror-comedy.
The new movie follows Grace (Samara Weaving), the survivor of the dangerous Le Domas family from the first film. She now faces a different family with a new set of terrifying rules, promising another darkly comedic and violent experience.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who directed the first film, are also directing the sequel. Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy wrote the story. Searchlight Pictures announced they were working on the sequel in 2024, during a screening of the original.
The movie’s cast is growing! Kathryn Newton joins as Faith, Grace’s younger sister. Familiar faces like Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kevin Durand, Shawn Hatosy, Olivia Cheng, Néstor Carbonell, and Elijah Wood also star. David Cronenberg plays the patriarch of the Danforth family, who appears to be orchestrating a disturbing new game. Filming took place in Toronto this spring and finished in early June.
The latest trailer reveals Grace attempting to start over, but she’s soon drawn into another bizarre and dangerous ritual involving a new family.
The new movie will feature even more dangerous traps and thrilling chases, continuing the blend of scares and humor that fans loved in the original. Searchlight Pictures emphasizes that this isn’t a reboot, but a direct sequel, and the trailer hints at a higher-stakes adventure.
Ready or Not 2: Here I Come will premiere in theaters on April 10, 2026.
