Quantumania,’ Majors became involved in a real-life predicament when he allegedly assaulted his romantic partner. This unfortunate event resulted in a lawsuit, a conviction, and ultimately his sentencing.

Ever since the claims emerged, fans have been anxiously anticipating news about his role in the MCU. Over time, it became evident that Marvel Studios was planning to part ways with Kang, a decision not solely based on Majors’ legal issues but also due to the character failing to make a significant impact on the fans.

As a long-time Marvel fan with fond memories of watching Iron Man on the big screen for the first time, I must admit that the recent announcement about the retitling of ‘Avengers: Kang Dynasty’ to ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and the revelation that Robert Downey Jr. will be portraying Victor Von Doom has left me utterly astonished. It seems like a dream come true, not just for me but for countless other fans who have eagerly anticipated the Multiverse Saga. The thought of seeing Downey Jr., who brought Tony Stark/Iron Man to life so brilliantly, stepping into the shoes of one of Marvel’s most iconic villains is nothing short of exhilarating. This decision has certainly added an exciting twist to the storyline and has me eagerly awaiting the release of the film.

Absolutely! Robert Downey Jr., popularly known as RDJ, is coming back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but this time he won’t be suiting up as Iron Man anymore. Instead, he’s stepping into the shoes of one of Marvel’s most legendary antagonists. This announcement has stirred a variety of responses from fans, who find it challenging to think of Downey in any role other than Tony Stark.

During a chat on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter Podcast, Downey recently disclosed that he will rejoin the Marvel Cinematic Universe and shared the specific type of Doom character he will embody.

About a year ago, I found myself in a unique position as friends with Kevin Feige, Jon Favreau, and the Russo Brothers. We’ve stayed connected, and I also have other business ventures with the Russos. So, I felt a strong urge to approach Bob Iger with an idea that could help expand the Marvel experience beyond the Cinematic Universe, specifically in relation to Disney’s Parks and their location-based entertainment.

At one stage, Susan and I found ourselves conversing with Feige, who mused, ‘The idea of your return keeps crossing my mind…’ Susan reacted quickly, ‘Hold on, hold on, what kind of return are you suggesting?’ We both eventually understood that this was yet another demonstration of his exceptional intellectual prowess, as he pondered ways to surpass all doubts about him, to move forward without regressing or disappointing expectations. He hinted at the character, Victor Von Doom, and upon further investigation, I was astounded by my discovery. Later on, Kevin emphasized, ‘Let’s ensure we get Victor Von Doom right. Let’s make sure that aspect is well-handled.’

In a conversation with Kevin, I asked if I could speak with Bob Iger. He inquired about the topic, to which I responded that it was about everything. Previously, I had visited his house and found it difficult to express the unique experience. Although I’ve had many remarkable experiences, this encounter at Iger’s residence stood out. Upon mentioning my feelings, he said, “I like it.” I replied, “He likes it,” and he suggested I come by the Imagineering Campus. Let me tell you, Feige and I were not easily impressed, but our minds were definitely blown when we visited the Imagineering Campus. I can’t reveal too much, but what is happening there now surpasses my expectations of what was even possible.

There are many ideas floating around about how Robert Downey Jr. will fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Some theories suggest stories like ‘Demon in Armor’ or ‘Infamous Iron Man,’ but based on RDJ’s own statements, it appears he’ll only be playing the character of Doom.

According to confidential sources, it seems that Doom could make an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) before ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ potentially debuting in ‘Fantastic Four: First Footsteps.’ This alignment is fitting considering Doom’s reputation as the Fantastic Four’s most notorious adversary.
