Do you remember the “Barbenheimer” phenomenon last summer, when everyone rushed to see Oppenheimer and Barbie as a double feature? We’re getting a similar opportunity this December with two new movies that fans of sci-fi and superheroes will love. Dune: Part Three and the new Avengers movie, Doomsday, both come out on December 18th. Robert Downey Jr. and Timothée Chalamet are already calling it “Dunesday” – a perfect double feature for movie buffs!

Robert Downey Jr. and the director appeared together at a Los Angeles screening of Marty Supreme. During a discussion about both Dune: Part Three and Avengers: Doomsday being released on the same day—December 18th—RDJ jokingly suggested they call it “Dunesday.”
Both movies already have strong fan bases and don’t really need to rely on each other to succeed. However, a combined event – like a “Dunesday” weekend of double features – could be a great way to get fans excited! We predict that a combined release would be incredibly profitable for both Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three.
