Randy Pitchford reveals Borderlands 4 map and collectibles

In a recent disclosure, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford unveiled the layout for Borderlands 4, detailing the locations of over 200 Marcus Bobbleheads scattered across it. These are collectible figurines players can find in the game.

As a passionate gamer, I’m excited to share that Kairos is brimming with secret spots, but reaching them requires quite an effort and a dash of imagination. However, these areas felt somewhat underwhelming due to their emptiness, making the search less rewarding. To add depth and excitement, our team has decided to scatter Marcus Bobbleheads throughout the map. Each bobblehead will have its own intriguing tale to tell, enhancing the overall gaming experience.

Relax and stop getting worked up. The information you’re worried about can easily be found online. If you want to experience the thrill of solving puzzles, avoid walkthroughs. Additionally, even with the map you seek, you’ll still need to find needles in haystacks. Good luck!

Pitchford anticipates that “many players” will never discover any of these collectibles, whether they have a map or not, which gives him great confidence in the team’s skill at hiding these items in hard-to-find locations.

Borderlands 4 will hit the shelves a bit sooner than anticipated, with the release scheduled for September 12, 2025. You’ll be able to play it on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, ten days ahead of its original launch date.
