Rahul Kohli Reveals His Dream Villain Role in the DCU!

According to Gunn and Safran’s DCU, their inaugural project, titled ‘Creature Commandos,’ debuted with two initial episodes. Given the show’s highly favorable response, it seems that a second season is on the horizon.

Currently, there’s a growing excitement leading up to the upcoming live-action production: ‘Superman.’ This time around, David Corenswet will portray Clark Kent, while Rachel Brosnahan takes on the role of Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult steps into Lex Luthor’s shoes.

Previously, Gunn talked about the primary antagonist of the movie, clarifying that Lex Luthor will be the main villain. Additionally, there’s chatter and whispers hinting at the possibility of Ultraman emerging as an additional threat that Superman must confront.

In the DCEU, General Zod served as Superman’s primary villain initially, but moving forward, we’ll see a departure from this pattern. Zod, a well-known adversary in DC Comics lore, made appearances in ‘Man of Steel’ and ‘The Flash.’ However, it should be mentioned that the Zod character portrayed in ‘The Flash’ was played by Michael Shannon, but technically represented an alternate version of the original character.

Should Gunn decide to return to the villain role, actor Rahul Kohli has shown enthusiasm about portraying Zod within the freshly created DC Universe.

rahul kohli is recognized for his acting in shows like ‘iZombie,’ in which he brought to life the endearing yet eccentric Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, and ‘The Haunting of Bly Manor,’ where he embodied the sorrowful character Owen.

More recently, the actor disclosed that he had been contending for the part of Reed Richards. However, the role ended up going to Pedro Pascal, who is famously known for ‘The Last of Us’. He expressed a combination of emotions, admitting his sense of loss but also using it as a lesson about the cutthroat nature of the acting world.

Nevertheless, some fans misconstrued his remarks, interpreting them as anger towards Pedro for landing the part. It’s worth noting that Kohli was among the top fan-chosen actors for the Mr. Fantastic role, alongside Krasinski who eventually appeared in a cameo as Mr. Fantastic in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’
