Rachel Zegler to Walk Met Gala Red Carpet Amid Snow White Controversy? Star-Studded Guest List Incudes Lizzo, Doechii and More

This year, Rachel Zegler has received an invitation to attend the Met Gala, despite the ongoing controversy surrounding her recent projects. Most recently, she was seen in Snow White alongside Gal Gadot; however, this film also sparked controversy from its inception. Scheduled to take place on the first Monday of May, the event promises a dazzling array of stars, many of whom will be making their debut attendance.

Over the last several weeks, Zegler has faced criticism for the poor performance of her movie at the box office, which some attribute to her contentious social media posts about Donald Trump and other delicate subjects.

In May, the Hunger Games star, who is also an actress, will start rehearsals for her lead role in the upcoming musical, Evita. This exciting news comes as we anticipate her return to the big screen. The movie will be filmed in London.

Additionally, besides the radiant Spellbound star, the occasion will feature artists such as Lizzo, Shakira, Doechii, and Mary J. Blige. Notable personalities like Ashley Graham and Amelia Gray are also expected to grace the red carpet.

This year’s gala is centered around the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” with attendees encouraged to dress in tailored outfits. LeBron James, a renowned basketball legend, will serve as the honorary chair, while Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Pharrell Williams will take on co-chair roles for the event.

Currently, it seems Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, might choose not to attend the gala due to their ongoing legal dispute with Justin Baldoni.

In 2021, Zegler made her debut at the Met Gala, and this past year, she graced the event again, striking poses for photographers while donning a gown designed by Michael Kors.

Among the additional attendees for the event are André 3000, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Jordan Casteel, Dapper Dan, Ayo Edebiri, Edward Enninful, Jeremy O. Harris, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Rashid Johnson, Spike Lee, Tonya Lewis Lee, Audra McDonald, Janelle Monáe, Jeremy Pope, Angel Reese, Sha’Carri Richardson, Tyla, Usher, and Kara Walker. In other words, these notable individuals will also be gracing the event with their presence.
