Rachel Lindsay Admits Seeing Red Flags Before Marrying Ex-Husband Bryan Abasolo; Here’s Why She Ignored Them

As a dedicated follower who has witnessed Rachel Lindsay‘s journey from The Bachelorette to her personal life, I find it heartbreaking to see such a seemingly strong bond crumble. I admired their love story and was thrilled when they tied the knot. However, the recent developments have left me feeling like a spectator in a reality show that I didn’t sign up for.

Rachel Lindsay spoke candidly about her former husband, Bryan Abasolo, whom she wed in 2019 following their time together on her season of The Bachelorette. During an appearance on The View on Tuesday, December 3rd, she shared insights about their relationship.

Lindsay expressed, “I might have noticed some indications before our marriage. However, being women, we tend to be problem solvers, believing we can make things work. We see them as challenges. But over time, I became more aware of it all. I’d say, within about two years.

Previously in the show, she disclosed that appearances can often be misleading, even for seemingly happy couples from The Bachelorette, as they deal with challenges behind closed doors. She mentioned that their relationship was frequently viewed as one of the more successful ones to emerge from the series. Everywhere she went, people would inquire about her relationship and its current status.

She also mentioned, “Besides, have you thought about starting a family soon? It’s a topic often filled with various implications. People feel the societal expectation to constantly portray a perfect image, even when things at home might not be as rosy. This could be due to ongoing efforts, a difficult day, or simply any other personal situation.

Two years after their reality show engagement, the pair took many by surprise when, on January 2, it was said that Bryan allegedly initiated divorce proceedings.

It seems that the divorce might encounter some bumps, since they apparently disagree about financial holdings because no prenuptial agreement was signed.

Originally, the ex-Bachelorette was mandated to provide USD 13,000 per month as temporary alimony. Additionally, a previous report by In Touch dated August 19 stated that she was also compelled to hand over USD 40,000 from their shared assets, known as community property funds, to Bryan.
