Netflix has officially declared that their longest-lasting reality series, Queer Eye, will conclude following a remarkable run of seven seasons. Netflix recently revealed that the upcoming tenth season of Queer Eye will serve as its swan song, providing a poignant finale for viewers.
Netflix confirms Queer Eye final season
Announcing some exciting updates, Netflix stated: “We’re gearing up for another round with our Fab Five as we produce the final season of ‘Queer Eye.’ Unfortunately for its devoted followers, this means there won’t be any more seasons following this one.
The transformative makeover series debuted on Netflix in February 2018, swiftly rising to become one of their top reality shows. Spanning over 10 seasons, the Fab Five – Karamo Brown, Tan France, Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, and Bobby Berk – have moved millions by aiding people in not only improving their appearances but also their lives as a whole.
Here’s what happened behind the scenes
Discussions about the last season of Queer Eye have included the fact that Bobby Berk, the initial home makeover specialist, is leaving, and Jeremiah Brent has been brought in to replace him for the D.C. episodes in seasons 9 and 10.
In November 2023, Bobby Berk decided to part ways from the show following allegations of tension with fashion consultant Tan France. When speaking to Vanity Fair in January, Bobby clarified, “Tan and I had an incident. There was a situation that occurred, and it’s something between us two, separate from the program.
Bobby stated, “Perhaps I shouldn’t have unfollowed Tan. Instead, maybe I should have just blocked his posts. That particular day, I was enraged, but that’s all in the past now. We’re more like siblings, and as siblings, we inevitably have our disagreements.
Jeremiah Brent joins Fab Five
In the ninth season, Jeremiah Brent took over from Bobby Berk in his role as the interior design specialist, and he remains in that position for Queer Eye’s final Season 10. Many viewers appreciated Jeremiah’s innovative style and friendly demeanor, but some fans were disappointed to see him depart so quickly.
One viewer expressed, “It’s too sudden to hand him over and then take him away so fast.” Regardless of the alteration, the show’s primary purpose remained robust, providing assistance for individuals to feel their best aided by the Fab Five.
