Reality Bites
The QQQ has done well. Very well. A five hundred and fifty-eight percent return in ten years (as of January twenty-second). A grand invested in January of sixteen would be six thousand, five hundred and eighty today. Twenty point eight percent a year. Hard to argue with numbers like that.
I’m not saying tech and AI are a bad bet. Just don’t expect miracles. The last decade was a sugar rush. The next one will be a hangover. Returns will likely moderate. Still, the QQQ isn’t a terrible place to park your cash. A long haul, maybe. But in this business, long hauls are about all you can hope for. It’s not a sure thing, nothing ever is. But it’s a play that might just stay in the game.
