PUBG will no longer be playable on older consoles. Starting with version 38.2, KRAFTON is limiting support to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players had been warned earlier this year that support for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One would end, so this change isn’t unexpected.
The new Update 38.2 will be released on November 13, 2025, after some server maintenance. You’ll be able to download it a day early.
On Xbox Series X and the upcoming PS5 Pro, PUBG will run in stunning 2160p resolution at a smooth 60 frames per second. The standard PS5 can achieve 1440p resolution at 60fps. Xbox Series S owners have a choice: play at 1080p with 60fps, or 1440p at 30fps, depending on what they prefer.
Players who have a PUBG account on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will get special items they can use in the game on other devices.
PUBG 38.2 also brings a Porsche collaboration and some gameplay changes to the table.
