PSN Down For Hours: PlayStation PS5, PS4, Affected

I’ve been experiencing quite a frustrating situation here – the PlayStation Network seems to be out of action for hours now, and it’s disrupting my gaming sessions on my PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PS5, and even web-based activities. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on when we can expect the network to return.

Based on the information provided by the PlayStation Network Status Page, all services such as Account Management, gaming, social interaction, video streaming (PlayStation Video), shopping (PlayStation Store), and direct purchases (PlayStation direct) are currently experiencing outages.

All presently non-functional are the various sub-services such as logging in, account creation, modifications to account information, live gaming, transactions, file downloads, navigation, searches, and the use of vouchers.

4 hours ago, the official PlayStation account on Twitter acknowledged that some users may be facing difficulties with PSN.

Since PlayStation Network (PSN) is experiencing an outage, all we can do now is remain patient until it’s restored. We’ll keep you informed about any updates from PlayStation or as soon as the PSN comes back online. At this point, the cause of the downtime remains unclear.
