Priyanka Chopra And Richard Madden’s Citadel Season 2 Adds Michael Trucco, Merle Dandridge And Rahul Kohli As New Cast Members

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for talent and a heart for great storytelling, I am thrilled to see the addition of Merle Dandridge, Rahul Kohli, and Michael Trucco to the cast of Citadel’s second season. Their diverse backgrounds and impressive resumes promise an extraordinary experience that will undoubtedly elevate this already successful series.

The second season of the Amazon MGM series “Citadel,” starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden, has added three new cast members: Michael Trucco, Merle Dandridge, and Rahul Kohli. Notably, Dandridge, who hails from Japan but was raised in Nebraska, is a talented singer and actress who recently shone in the critically praised production of “A Little Night Music” at the Pasadena Playhouse.

She’s primarily recognized for portraying Marlene, the firefly leader, in HBO’s adaptation of The Last of Us, which has garnered 24 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series. Among her other roles are appearances on ABC’s Station 19, Oprah Winfrey’s successful series Greenleaf, Apple TV+’s Truth Be Told, HBO’s The Flight Attendant, FX’s Sons of Anarchy, CW’s Starcrossed, and NBC’s The Night Shift.

Apart from appearing in TV series and movies, Dandridge boasts an impressive list of stage performances to her credit. Notably, she was the first woman to portray Papa Ge in the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Ahrens and Flaherty’s Once on This Island. This production earned a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album. Furthermore, she has lent her voice to video game productions as well.

Kohli hails from London and is primarily recognized for his role in the television series iZOMBIE on CW, which enjoyed a successful five-season run. Additionally, he has appeared in several Netflix projects directed by Mike Flanagan, such as The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, Midnight Club, and more recently, The Fall of The House of Usher and Death and Other Details for Hulu.

As an uncontainable fanboy, I can’t hide my excitement! Truco has graced our screens in Flanagan’s masterpieces like The Fall of the House of Usher, Midnight Mass, and The Midnight Club. And here comes the best news yet – he’s now aboard Flanagan’s next venture, a Stephen King film adaptation of The Life of Chuck! I can hardly wait!

The actor made a name for himself by featuring in popular TV shows such as Beverly Hills, 90210, Pensacola: Wings of Gold, One Tree Hill, and more. He gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Samuel T. Anders in the highly praised sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica. He has graced several top-rated prime-time shows, including How I Met Your Mother, Castle, Revenge, The Big Bang Theory, and Young Sheldon.

Globally, the series “Citadel” was incredibly popular and ranked as the second most-watched original series on Amazon Prime, excluding the United States. Moreover, it established a new standard for executive producers Russo Brothers, placing them at the top of an impressive lineup of Original Series.

As a long-time fan of the series, I am thrilled to learn that the second season of the show will commence filming this year. Having followed the lives and careers of the talented actors involved, it is a delight to see them returning to their respective roles. With Joe Russo at the helm as director, I am confident that the production will be nothing short of exceptional. The ensemble cast, led by Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Stanley Tucci, and Lesley Manville, is undeniably impressive, and their collective talents are sure to create a captivating viewing experience for audiences worldwide. I eagerly await the release of the new season and cannot wait to see how the story unfolds.
