Priyanka Chopra, 43, Sizzles in Hot Pirate-Inspired Look at “The Bluff” Screening

Priyanka Chopra Jonas made a movie screening extra special by turning it into a fun pirate-themed party. She was celebrating the upcoming release of her new film, The Bluff, at a special event hosted by AGBO and Prime Video.

Honestly, the energy in the room was incredible! The whole cast and crew showed up unexpectedly, and we just launched into this really in-depth Q&A with the audience. The team was saying how amazing it was to finally share the world of the film – this really raw, vibrant Caribbean setting – with people in person. We completely filled the place, and it was a total surprise for everyone, which made it even better.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, along with her co-star Karl Urban, director Frank E. Flowers, and writer Joe Ballarini, talked about the intense training they all went through for the movie. Priyanka explained that playing the character of Ercell “Bloody Mary” Bodden allowed her to show a new side of herself, with a lot of physical strength and a powerful, protective maternal instinct – something she hadn’t had the chance to do before.

The screening was a fantastic way to build excitement for the film’s worldwide release, and the team was thrilled with the fan turnout. The organizers shared a message – “Thank you to everyone for celebrating with the pirates!” – as the final days ticked away before the digital premiere.

Set in the 1800s Cayman Islands, The Bluff is a fast-paced action movie about Ercell, a reformed pirate trying to live a peaceful life. That peace is shattered when her old captain, Connor (played by Karl Urban), shows up looking for revenge, forcing Ercell to use her dangerous skills to defend her family.

This movie is a major project from Amazon MGM Studios and the Russo Brothers’ production company, AGBO. It’s expected to be very intense, earning an “R” rating due to its realistic and brutal fight scenes and clever traps. The cast includes Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Karl Urban, Temuera Morrison as a menacing supplier, Ismael Cruz Córdova playing Ercell’s husband, and Safia Oakley-Green.

Priyanka has had a very busy and successful 2026, working as both an actress and a producer with her production company, Purple Pebble Pictures. She just finished filming the second season of the popular spy thriller Citadel, which is scheduled to be released on Prime Video later this year.

She has a busy schedule ahead, including the action-comedy Heads of State with John Cena and Idris Elba. She’s also returning to her Bollywood beginnings with the film Jee Le Zaraa, a road-trip drama with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, which is now back in production.

Karl Urban is facing a big change as The Boys wraps up in April. He’s shifting from playing the jaded Billy Butcher to Captain Connor, a character who lets him explore a classic, but still intense, villainous side.

The new movie, The Bluff, will premiere on Prime Video globally on February 25th. Combining historical storytelling with exciting action sequences, it’s expected to be one of Prime Video’s major releases this spring.
