‘Princess Principal: Crown Handler’ Fourth Movie Releases Trailer, Confirms May Premiere

As a passionate movie reviewer, I’m thrilled to share that Bandai Namco Filmworks has unveiled the main artwork, trailer, and release date for the fourth installment of the Princess Principal series – Crown Handler. Get ready to mark your calendars, as this film is set to premiere on May 23rd. Can’t wait to dive back into the thrilling world of Princess Principal!

In April 2023, the third installment of a six-part series premiered in Japan, whereas its predecessor, initially planned for April 2020, didn’t make its debut until February 2021 because of COVID-19 delays.

In September 2021, the sequel to the movie series was released, with Sentai Filmworks managing the rights for the entire collection.

The narrative of the initial movie revolves around a clandestine group, known as Team White Pigeon, who are dispatched to expose a potential traitor within the royal household following an attempt on the Queen’s life. However, with peril lurking at every corner, trust becomes a scarce commodity.

In this production, Masaki Tachibana, famed for his work on Barakamon and .hack//Quantum, is taking the director’s chair. Noboru Kimura, recognized for his contributions to Gundam Build Divers and Solty Rei, is penning the scripts. Meanwhile, Kouhaku Kuroboshi is in charge of character designs. The captivating music is being crafted by Yuki Kajiura, whose previous works include Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Fate/Zero.

In the opening theme, the musical duo Void_Chords along with Yui Mugino perform ‘LIES & TIES.’ Meanwhile, for the closing theme, it’s the five principal characters who sing ‘Nowhere Land.’

In the year 2017, Sentai Filmworks secured the rights to stream the anime series “Princess Principal,” as well as made it available for purchase on DVD or Blu-ray.
