Prince Harry Says UK Police Protection Was Withdrawn to ‘Trap’ Him and Meghan Markle as Working Royals

In the midst of his legal fight for police protection in the U.K., Prince Harry has expressed his sentiments. As a key part of their and their children’s ancestry, Harry considers the U.K. significant and believes that due to the threats faced by his family, he requires superior security in his native land.

Despite spending over four years residing in the U.S., Harry, along with Markle, their son Archie, and daughter Lilibet, have consistently advocated for protection rights. He personally attended a court session, carefully following the progression of events and jotting down notes as he did so.

Nevertheless, the verdict seems to be working against Harry. As reported by Deadline, it was disclosed in court that the Duke perceived this decision as an effort to compel him and Markle to return to the UK. He expressed his concerns to The Telegraph, stating that the evidence presented in court had confirmed his worst suspicions.

He argued that the ruling was to keep them tied to their royal responsibilities instead of letting them resume their lives in the United States. Additionally, he expressed his feelings of being drained and overburdened during the ongoing court proceedings.

Yet, it’s clear that Harry remains resolute in contesting the termination of his royal security detail. The news of him suing the British government is said to be the primary cause of tension between him and his father, King Charles.

It’s said that during his recent trip, Harry did not reconcile with the royal family. Since marrying Markle and moving to America, the youngest prince has apparently grown distant from his relatives.

During this time, the king was in London to keep a medical appointment related to his ongoing cancer treatment, prior to his journey to Italy alongside Queen Camilla, marking their 20th wedding anniversary.
