Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein Survivor Virginia Giuffre Had ‘Deep Conversations’ with Family Before Su*cide; Report

Virginia Giuffre, one of the most vocal victims involved in the Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell case, passed away at the age of 41 on April 24th, a death that her family confirmed was by suicide. In her last few months, those close to her shared that she faced overwhelming emotional and physical challenges, yet she persisted in advocating for other survivors.

As Amanda Roberts, Giuffre’s sister-in-law, shared, the final months of Giuffre’s life were heavily burdened by intense personal struggles and heartrending emotional distress. In conversations with her over the past couple of months, I attempted to offer support and encouragement, Roberts told PEOPLE.

Virginia, who endured childhood abuse and was subsequently drawn into trafficking by Epstein at the age of 16 due to Ghislaine Maxwell’s recruitment while she worked at Mar-a-Lago, has emerged as a prominent advocate for survivors of sexual exploitation on a global scale. Her testimony implicated influential figures like Prince Andrew, who denied all accusations and reached an out-of-court settlement with her in 2022.

Amanda and her family established a new life in Australia with her husband Robert Giuffre and their three kids, but they’ve faced additional hardships over the past few years. It has been disclosed that Virginia and Robert have parted ways due to accusations of domestic abuse. More recently, a temporary restraining order was issued against Virginia, preventing her from contacting their children. This incident, according to her family, significantly affected Virginia emotionally.

“Amanda stated that she had been hospitalized due to an injury sustained in a bus accident in March, and she was still in the process of recuperating physically. She expressed, ‘Things just pile up on each other.’ Eventually, it became overwhelming and unbearable.’

In spite of her persistent pain, Virginia continued to be dedicated to her work with SOAR (Speak Out, Act, Reclaim) – a charitable organization that she established to aid survivors of sexual abuse and human trafficking.

Despite the heartache caused by her demise, Virginia Giuffre’s memory lives on through her bravery, activism, and the impact she made on countless lives. Her family has vowed to carry forward the mission she initiated – seeking justice and healing for survivors everywhere, as expressed by Amanda: “She yearned for every survivor to receive justice.” That was the essence of who she was.

In the face of a heart-wrenching tragedy, they remain steadfast in fulfilling her goal: amplifying the suppressed voices of those who have endured trauma globally, while advocating for justice for these victims.
