Post Malone Knocks Taylor Swift’s TTPD Off From No 1 On Billboard Charts With His Country Album F-1 Trillion

As an ardent fan of both Post Malone and Taylor Swift, I find myself utterly captivated by their ongoing musical journey. The news of Post Malone dethroning Taylor from the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart is nothing short of exhilarating! Yet, it’s not a competition; it’s a testament to the versatility and talent these two extraordinary artists possess.

Post Malone’s new country album F-1 Trillion has knocked Taylor Swift off the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart. In its first week since release, his latest record sold approximately 250,000 units, landing it at the No. 1 position for the week ending August 22.

In 2024, Malone’s album saw a strong debut in the country genre, coming in second only to Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter. This was due in part to collaborations with Morgan Wallen on I Had Some Help and Blake Shelton on Pour Me a Drink. Additionally, it was the second album since its release in April to displace Taylor Swift’s TTPD from the top spot on that particular music chart.

In a shift, TTPD dropped two places to third position, with Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess climbing up to second spot. For a brief week in June, Eminem’s The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) managed to unseat TTPD from its top position, but Taylor Swift’s record quickly regained its former place the next week.

In collaboration, Austin Post, professionally known as Malone, teamed up with Swift on the inaugural track titled “Fortnight” for The Tortured Poets Department. This song also received a music video adaptation. Impressed by his album, Swift publicly complimented it after listening to it on the set of the MV where they both appeared as stars.

“I was fortunate to listen to this fantastic music on the Fortnite video set when Austin played it for me, as he shared on Instagram recently. His artistic talent is so diverse, and he’s truly one of the most humble individuals out there.”

I, being deeply captivated, expressed my profound admiration for Swift on Instagram in June, labeling her as a unique and extraordinary talent, one-of-a-kind even, that comes only once in a lifetime.

“He was deeply impressed by your kindness and intelligence, and he feels incredibly privileged to be able to assist you on your path,” he conveyed, further mentioning, “I adore you immensely. Thank you, Tay.”

Time after time, Malone demonstrates his musical prowess, but he clarifies that he doesn’t aspire to attain the level of fame enjoyed by artists like Swift and Beyoncé. Incidentally, it should be noted that he has collaborated with Beyoncé on “Levii’s Jeans,” one of her tracks.

“Malone expressed to The New York Times on August 8 that he couldn’t fathom being at their level, as it seems overwhelmingly stressful.”
