People are still actively watching a wide range of shows on Paramount+, from popular crime and comedy series to new, high-quality originals. Recent viewing numbers show that both long-running favorites and newer shows are attracting subscribers. Viewers enjoy revisiting familiar franchises and discovering exciting new stories, especially those focused on crime and the supernatural. Here’s a look at the most popular shows on the platform right now.
‘Survivor’ (2000–)

‘Survivor’ remains a popular reality show because of its intense competition and the way people interact with each other. Contestants are left in a faraway place and have to find food and build their own homes. They compete in tough physical and mental challenges to avoid being eliminated by their fellow players. The show follows the complicated relationships and plans people make as they try to win a million-dollar prize.
‘The King of Queens’ (1998–2007)

I absolutely loved ‘The King of Queens’! It’s about Doug and Carrie Heffernan, a pretty normal couple just trying to make a life for themselves in Queens, New York. Things get crazy when Carrie’s dad, Arthur, moves in with them – he’s a total character! A lot of the humor comes from Doug just trying to keep things together with his wife and his job delivering packages. Honestly, it’s still so popular because it feels so real – it’s all about family and everyday life, and it’s just really relatable.
‘Tulsa King’ (2022–)

I just finished watching ‘Tulsa King,’ and it’s a really fun ride! Sylvester Stallone plays Dwight Manfredi, nicknamed ‘The General,’ a New York mobster who gets out of prison after 25 years. But instead of going back to the life he knew, his boss sends him to Tulsa, Oklahoma – seriously! – to start a new criminal operation. It’s wild seeing him try to build an empire in a place so different from New York, and he has to find some pretty unusual people to help him. It’s a modern mob story, but it’s really about how Dwight tries to reinvent himself and what loyalty means when everything’s changed.
‘Criminal Minds’ (2005–)

‘Criminal Minds’ centers around a highly skilled team of FBI profilers working at Quantico, Virginia. Instead of simply investigating crimes, they delve into the minds of criminals to understand why they do what they do. Using behavioral analysis, they attempt to anticipate what dangerous individuals, known as ‘unsubs,’ will do next. The show’s gripping stories have kept it popular for years, leading to a recent continuation called ‘Criminal Minds: Evolution.’
‘School Spirits’ (2023–)

‘School Spirits’ is a supernatural mystery about Maddie, a teen who unexpectedly finds herself as a ghost haunting her high school. There, she meets other ghosts who died on campus over the years. Determined to uncover what happened to her, Maddie begins investigating the circumstances of her own death. The show combines the typical ups and downs of high school life with a puzzling mystery that will leave you on the edge of your seat.
‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ (1999–)

SpongeBob SquarePants is a hugely popular cartoon that follows the adventures of a cheerful sea sponge. He lives in a pineapple underwater in Bikini Bottom and works as a cook at the Krusty Krab. SpongeBob often hangs out with his best friend, Patrick Star, and his neighbor, Squidward Tentacles, getting into all sorts of funny situations. The show’s unique humor and animation have made it a hit with people of all ages for many years.
‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ (1996–2005)

‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ is a comedy about Ray Barone, a sportswriter, and the everyday challenges of dealing with his family. He and his wife, Debra, live near his parents, Marie and Frank, and his brother, Robert, who are constantly involved in their lives. The show humorously portrays the common struggles of marriage and the frustrations of having family nearby. It was a popular show for nine seasons, winning many awards, and continues to be enjoyed by audiences today on streaming services.
‘NCIS’ (2003–)

NCIS is a crime show that follows a team investigating crimes involving the Navy and Marine Corps. They use a combination of forensic science and traditional detective work to solve difficult cases, from terrorism to murder. For almost twenty years, the show was led by Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, who was known for his firm set of rules. Its popularity has spawned several spin-off shows, making it a long-standing fixture on television.
‘Landman’ (2024–)

As a total film buff, I just finished watching ‘Landman,’ and it’s really stuck with me. It’s set in the West Texas oil fields and gives you a raw look at the lives of the people – the roughnecks and wildcatters – chasing that big strike. Billy Bob Thornton is fantastic as a guy brought in to handle problems for a super-rich oilman, and the story dives into the whole messy world of oil rigs. What I found particularly compelling was how it doesn’t shy away from showing the impact this industry has – not just on the land, but on the people involved, and the financial stakes. It’s classic Taylor Sheridan – a modern take on the gold rush, and it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re into that kind of gritty, realistic drama.
‘South Park’ (1997–)

South Park is a funny and often shocking animated show about four friends growing up in a quirky Colorado town. Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, it’s famous for its quick wit and ability to joke about current events. The show has a distinctive look with its simple animation style and is one of the longest-running TV series ever. New episodes and seasons continue to come out, often focusing on today’s social and political topics.
