Pope Francis recently passed away several weeks following his release from the hospital where he fought a prolonged battle against double pneumonia and various other health complications. This sad news was announced just one day after he briefly appeared in public on Easter Sunday at St. Peter’s Square.
According to reports, it wasn’t initially clear what caused Pope Francis’s demise, as stated by Vatican authorities. However, medical professionals who had recently attended to the Pope have made a declaration suggesting that he may have experienced a stroke.
According to statements made to La Repubblica, it appears he experienced a suspected stroke affecting his brain.
For many years, the former leader of the Catholic Church (also known as the Pope) and ruler of Vatican City State faced numerous health challenges. At just 21 years old, he was diagnosed with pleurisy in Argentina and underwent a surgery to remove part of one lung. Starting from 2023, he has experienced recurrent flu illnesses.
Come June 2023, I found myself on the operating table, undergoing surgery to mend a troublesome abdominal hernia. For years, I’ve been battling sciatica – a relentless nerve issue that leaves me grappling with persistent back, hip, and leg pain.
This year in February, he was admitted to Rome’s Gemelli Hospital because of a respiratory infection that progressed into a case of double pneumonia in his lungs.
