As I settle into my seat for the second season of this captivating series, I find myself once again following the enigmatic Charlie Cale on her relentless pursuit. This time around, we’ve cranked up the intensity with a series of intriguing murder mysteries that take us from the minor league baseball fields to the bustling corridors of big box retail stores. The journey leads us through the solemn halls of funeral homes, the swampy depths of alligator farms, and even the quirky stage of a grade school talent show.

Through it all, Charlie deftly navigates this crime-ridden landscape with her trademark deadpan humor, profound compassion for humanity, and that uncanny knack for detecting lies that makes her truly one of a kind. It’s a road trip like no other, filled with twists, turns, and the occasional dose of existential pondering. Buckle up, folks – it’s going to be quite the ride!

To create an engaging Season 2, we derived visual influences from iconic American cinema of the 70s, such as Robert Altman, Bob Rafelson, Peter Bogdanovich. However, our series is fundamentally rooted in television – the kind we adored as kids, encompassing weekly mysteries like Columbo, The Rockford Files, and Quantum Leap. Each episode serves as a standalone movie, set within its own distinctive atmosphere and tone, populated by an array of peculiar characters portrayed by an incredible assortment of guest stars. We’re still in awe that we had the opportunity to collaborate with renowned talents like Cynthia Erivo, Katie Holmes, John Mulaney, Awkwafina (and numerous others, the list is quite impressive) who jumped at the chance to participate and brought enthusiasm and dedication to their roles.
