For many who grew up with Pokémon, certain details hold a special place in their memories. Now, Poképark Kanto in Japan is bringing those details to life, creating a truly magical experience for fans. While the park doesn’t open until February, early glimpses are incredibly charming. For instance, they’ve recreated the Pokémon Center with a real-life Nurse Joy – complete with pink hair – who can ‘heal’ your Pokémon! She’s absolutely delightful.
First Look at Nurse Joy in Poképark Kanto!

Nurse Joy, a well-known and cheerful character from the Pokémon series, appears in the video wearing her classic pink uniform. Similar to the games, you can visit her at the park’s Poké Center to restore your Pokémon’s health. The video shows a glimpse of this process – Nurse Joy carefully places Poké Balls on a table, and then the Pokémon inside appear on a screen with a cute animation. If this is representative of the actual park experience, it looks fantastic!
The video started with a lot of promotional content for the park, including an animated trailer that didn’t reveal much beyond a few images. But now that we’ve seen a real glimpse of what the park could be like, we’re even more enthusiastic! We’re hoping the actual park is as detailed and well-made as shown in the video. Seeing such attention to detail, like the design of Nurse Joy’s outfit, makes us think anything is possible. Nintendo, you’ve definitely exceeded our expectations!
I wasn’t ever a huge Pokémon fanatic, but I definitely enjoyed the games and always got why so many people loved it. So, when I heard about a real-life Pokémon park where you can actually see them roaming around, I was blown away – it’s a total dream come true for fans like me! I’m really excited to see how it turns out. Poképark Kanto in Japan is opening on February 5, 2026, and I can’t wait!
