POKEMON Theme Park Trailer Leaves Us More Confused Than Before

Wouldn’t it be amazing to visit a real Pokémon park? Picture this: Bulbasaur relaxing nearby, a happy Pikachu and Eevee beside you, and Pidgeo flying above! A theme park in Japan is trying to make this dream a reality, but their advertising is a little confusing. The Pokémon Company just released a trailer for PokéPark Kanto in Japan, and it’s leaving many people puzzled. Check it out!

Here’s the Official Trailer For PokéPark Kanto

The park was originally revealed in July during a rather disappointing Pokémon Presents livestream. The announcement described it as a place “where Pokémon truly exist,” but the visual presentation was simply a small, inexpensive model with fiberglass Pokémon figures. Even now, the promotional trailer doesn’t offer any real evidence that the park is actually being built. It’s entirely animated, so we still have no idea what it will look like in reality. While the concept is appealing, it remains just that – a concept.

Okay, so the promotional videos show people totally losing it over seeing Pokémon everywhere in the park – like, animated Pokémon running around! I get it’s probably not actually happening – unless Nintendo secretly figured out how to bring dinosaurs back to life, which seems…unlikely. I’m guessing we’ll see statues or people dressed as Pokémon, but not real, moving, animated creatures around every corner. Still, it’s all a mystery right now, and I’m excited to find out what they’ve come up with!

Despite a lot of unclear information, the website does show some actual photos of the Pokémon Center, a shop, and a Gym inside the park. This new PokéPark, described as the first permanent outdoor Pokémon attraction, will be located within the large Yomiuriland theme park in Tokyo. The park is divided into three areas: Sedge Town, Pokémon Forest, and the Entrance Plaza. Guests will start their visit at the Entrance Plaza and choose Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle to join them on their adventure.

Here’s the Concrete Evidence We Have So Far

Given that Nintendo is directly involved with PokéPark Kanto, we can expect a well-made experience. We’re hoping to see more photos of the park soon, and maybe even confirmation that Pokémon will be part of it. PokéPark Kanto is scheduled to open on February 5, 2026.
