On May 29, 2025, the mobile version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) Pocket will introduce Ultra Beasts for the first time, as announced by The Pokémon Company.
It’s been verified that Buzzwole (ex), Guzzlord (ex), Celesteela, Blacephalon, Pheromosa, Kartana, Xurkitree, Naganadel, Stakataka, and Nihilego are part of the lineup. Players also get an opportunity to acquire a special binder themed around Ultra Beasts to display their collection proudly.
As a gamer, I’m pumped about the upcoming arrival of Ultra Beasts! Their distinct Ultra Beast classification opens up fresh tactical opportunities because their abilities can bypass typical typing restrictions. Given their immense power, these Pokemon bring some unique moves to the game that could even disrupt the strongest Pokémon TCG Pocket meta decks.
In addition to the Pokémon from the Alola region such as Type: Null and Tapu Koko, the Extradimensional Crisis also features previously confirmed Pokémon like Alolan Diglett, Zeraora, Rowlet, and Shiinotic.
Lusamine has been revealed as a new supporter card.
Aside from the booster pack, several upcoming in-game events have been announced:
- June 3 to 13, 2025: Ultra Beast Drop Event – features special solo battles with new promo card rewards, including Necrozma ex.
- June 11 to 21, 2025: Wonder Pick Event – features missions with new promo card rewards, including Poipole and Stufful.
- June 22 to 28, 2025: Ultra Beast Mass Outbreak Event – Ultra Beast-related cards appear in rare picks and bonus picks.
