This event doubles the number of Candy you receive when capturing Pokémon and raises the chances of encountering a Shiny Delibird or Skwovet. Keep a close watch for these creatures, as catching them will also reward you with fruit!

While embarking on your Sweet Discoveries journey, you’ll stumble upon apples as you traverse your environment. These can be gathered to obtain Sweet Apples or Tart Apples, or they may initiate an encounter with a Pokémon like Applin when tapped. Gathering Sweet Apples will aid in the evolution of Applin into Appletun, while Tart Apples support its transformation into Flapple.

Furthermore, the Sweet Discoveries event introduces fresh Field Research and Time-Limited Research Tasks, providing extra incentives as well.

Any missions left incomplete or rewards unclaimed by then will disappear, so make sure to wrap things up and enjoy your hard-earned rewards before the deadline. The Sweet Discoveries event offers a free Timed Research upon login, along with one paid Timed Research requiring a ticket priced at $1.99 USD or equivalent in your region. Pokémon GO Sweet Discoveries: Field Research Tasks

During the duration of the event, which ends on April 29, 2025, at 8pm local time, you can complete Field Research Tasks from PokéStops at any time after you’ve added them to your inventory.

Here are all Pokémon GO Sweet Discoveries Field Research Tasks:

  • Use 3 Berries to help catch Pokémon: Delibird, Komala, or Skwovet
  • Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokémon: Stardust x1,000
  • Feed your buddy 5 times: Stardust x1,000

To get both versions of the newly-arrived Pokémon Applin evolved, you’ll need to gather a total of 40 Sweet and Tart Apples, and a whopping 200 Applin Candies for each evolution stage. That means it’s going to be quite an exciting adventure for me to track down these delicious-sounding apples and candies!
