Apple TV has offered a few hints about the upcoming show *Pluribus* from Vince Gilligan (but don’t expect anything like *Breaking Bad*!). The series has been kept largely under wraps until recently, and the newest trailer shows Rhea Seehorn‘s character is just as puzzled as the audience. It seems trying to communicate with the President through a television isn’t a path to clarity. However, Apple TV has released a brief summary revealing the central conflict of the show.
Pluribus is a unique and unusual story about the world’s unhappiest person who unexpectedly becomes responsible for saving everyone from… well, from being too happy.
Created and directed by Gilligan, the show features Karolina Wydra (known for *Sneaky Pete*) and Carlos-Manuel Vesga (*The Hijacking of Flight 601*). Miriam Shor (*American Fiction*) and Samba Schutte (*Our Flag Means Death*) will make guest appearances in the first season, which will have nine episodes.
Just like with Carol, we won’t have to wait much longer for answers. The new series *Pluribus* will premiere on Apple TV with its first two episodes on Friday, November 7, 2025. After that, a new episode will be released every Friday, leading up to the season finale on December 26.
Will viewers enjoy the upcoming scenes with *Pluribus*? That could hinge on whether Rhea Seehorn can convincingly portray unhappiness in her role.
