As a total movie and TV buff, I’ve really seen Apple TV Plus come into its own. They’ve consistently put out amazing original shows and movies that people all over the world are loving. What’s cool is the variety – you can find everything from hilarious comedies to seriously gripping thrillers that I’ve binged for days! By late 2025, they’ve built up a fantastic library, bringing back shows we already adore and launching some really ambitious new ones that quickly became hits. This is a rundown of what everyone’s been watching – the titles that have stuck around at the top and really made a cultural impact.
‘Loot’ (2022–2025)

Maya Rudolph plays Molly Novak, a woman whose life is turned upside down after a very public divorce from a wealthy man. Now financially secure thanks to the divorce settlement, she decides to get involved with her family’s charitable foundation, hoping to find real meaning in her life. The show is a comedy about her journey from a detached and privileged woman to someone committed to helping others, even though her staff isn’t entirely convinced. Each episode combines funny scenes of wealth and luxury with touching moments as Molly adjusts to her new life and purpose.
‘Down Cemetery Road’ (2025)

This gripping thriller stars Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson in a story about a dangerous conspiracy unfolding in a seemingly peaceful English suburb. When a house is destroyed and a young girl goes missing, Sarah Tucker becomes determined to find her. She joins forces with private investigator Zoë Boehm, and together they begin to unravel secrets that a powerful group is desperate to protect. The series blends classic mystery elements with modern political themes, creating a suspenseful and captivating watch.
‘Severance’ (2022–2025)

The show centers on workers at Lumon Industries who have had surgery to divide their work and personal memories. Starring Adam Scott as Mark Scout, the series follows his journey as he discovers the disturbing truth behind his seemingly ordinary job. It’s a psychological thriller that examines themes of work-life balance within a dark, corporate setting. Its distinctive visuals and gradually unfolding mystery have captivated a large audience.
‘Slow Horses’ (2022–2025)

Gary Oldman plays Jackson Lamb, a highly intelligent but unkempt boss who leads a team of failed MI5 agents. Stuck in a dumping ground called Slough House after making serious career errors, these spies end up handling the dangerous, unwanted missions that the main agency avoids. Based on the bestselling novels by Mick Herron, the series offers a realistic and often darkly humorous take on British spycraft. It’s particularly praised for its witty writing and Oldman’s captivating performance.
‘Your Friends & Neighbors’ (2025)

I’m completely hooked on this new show! Jon Hamm is fantastic as Coop, a guy who’s going through a divorce and, honestly, isn’t ready to give up the good life. He starts by just… borrowing things from his neighbors, but then he sees something he shouldn’t have, and everything gets turned upside down. It’s a really clever mix of funny and suspenseful, and it’s fascinating to watch how quickly things spiral out of control. What I really love is how it peels back the layers of these picture-perfect suburban neighborhoods and reveals all the secrets and tensions bubbling underneath. It makes you realize nobody’s life is as perfect as it seems.
‘The Last Frontier’ (2025)

Jason Clarke plays Frank Remnick, a US Marshal responsible for a huge and unforgiving part of Alaska. His peaceful routine is shattered when a plane carrying dangerous prisoners crashes in the remote Alaskan wilderness. Frank must lead a team to hunt down these escaped convicts, battling both the brutal landscape and his own inner struggles. The show highlights the loneliness of the Alaskan setting and the extreme challenges faced by law enforcement working in such a wild place.
‘The Morning Show’ (2019–2025)

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon star as two strong women working on a competitive morning news show. The series explores the behind-the-scenes drama at a major news network, especially after several scandals and changes in management. It looks at how power shifts and what people give up to stay successful in the fast-paced world of television news. The show is known for addressing important social topics through its intense storylines and complicated characters.
‘Ted Lasso’ (2020–2023)

A successful American football coach takes on the challenge of leading a struggling English soccer team, even though he’s never played or coached the sport before. Jason Sudeikis plays the coach with infectious positivity as he tries to earn the trust of his players and the local fans. The show became popular around the world because of its uplifting message about being kind and working together as a team. Though the main story has finished, it’s still one of the most-watched shows available.
‘Palm Royale’ (2024–2025)

In 1969, Kristen Wiig stars as Maxine Simmons, a woman determined to infiltrate the glamorous and cutthroat world of Palm Beach high society. The series follows her journey through a world of wealth and backstabbing as she strives for acceptance among the elite. With a visually striking style and a talented cast including Allison Janney and Laura Dern, the show is a compelling underdog story about how far someone will go to climb the social ladder.
‘Pluribus’ (2025)

I’m totally hooked on this new political drama! It’s a really gripping look at what goes on behind closed doors in Washington – all the power plays and secret deals. You follow a bunch of different people working in government as they try to get this huge new law passed, but it’s not easy. They’re dealing with protests, people working against them from the inside, and a lot of personal drama. It’s fascinating to see how far these characters are willing to go, and what they have to sacrifice to get what they want. Honestly, it’s become one of my favorite shows because it feels so relevant to what’s happening in the world today, and the way the story is told is just really smart and well-done.
