As a dedicated follower and observer of the entertainment industry, it seems that Emily Ratajkowski carries a certain air of seriousness about her image, at least when it comes to Celeste Barber’s parody videos. Having been blocked by Ratajkowski for an extended period, I can’t help but find it amusing that the actress has yet to unblock her after all these years.
Emily Ratajkowski appears to harbor feelings of resentment, a trait which Celeste Barber finds frustrating. During a recent episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Australian actress Celeste Barber shared that Ratajkowski blocked her long ago due to her parody videos. Interestingly, she has yet to unblock her after all this time.
A comedian gained widespread popularity online by regularly sharing comparison images and videos alongside different female celebrities in the entertainment world, including Ratajkowski, who frequently appeared.
“For quite some time, I remained unaware of something due to receiving photos of this person being sent to me. Once someone is blocked, they can no longer share their content with you,” Barber explained during a conversation with Amanda Hirsch on the August 6th episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast.
Realizing that the actress from Gone Girl had blocked her on the internet, where information is readily available, she expressed her disappointment in a lighthearted manner: “Ugh, this is dull. Now I can’t interact with you. Come on, let’s laugh about it. Let’s laugh about it. Oh, you won’t? Alright, I’ll back off then.” She followed up with these words.
The barber disclosed that she had tried to get Ratajkowski to lift her block by sharing a story and tagging her in it. However, these attempts were unsuccessful as the actress didn’t unblock her, with the comedian expressing her frustration by saying, “She hasn’t. It’s frustrating.”
Instead, Barber attempted to figure out what could have caused offense to the iCarly actress, as reportedly Ratajkowski is a woman so alluring that people split apart when she walks by. Given her confidence in owning and showcasing her body, she may have chosen to distance herself from an influencer who seemed to belittle it.
“She wasn’t taken aback when she said, ‘I refuse it all. I’ve grown accustomed to this world and I won’t tolerate any ridicule of it,'” Barber remarked.
2022 saw a PEOPLE interview where the comedian admitted that her satirical social media posts originate from personal insecurities and a deliberate, bold attempt to measure herself against the industry. The internet, being what it is, showers her posts with both admiration and criticism, but she strives to concentrate on the favorable aspects.
She expressed, “You seem to give it a try until you discover the right approach.” She noted that the encouraging responses significantly boost her self-assurance. Indeed, she only encounters favorable comments, she mentioned further.
