On Tuesday, the 27th of August, Pink shared glimpses of her Summer Carnival Tour backstage on social media platforms. A notable moment was her unexpected performance at the Democratic National Convention on the 22nd of August in 2024. In a video, Pink is captured comforting her 13-year-old daughter Willow before they take the stage together.

The pair of mom and daughter gave a rendition of Pink’s 2017 song “What About Us” prior to Vice President Kamala Harris officially receiving the Democratic nomination. Willow, who has performed alongside her mother in the past, had a pre-performance pep talk from Pink.

Pink encouraged Willow, saying, “Go ahead and do what you’re good at. If there’s anything you don’t handle, I’ve got it covered.” She added reassuringly, “It’s going to turn out amazing, I promise. I’ll be ready.”

Moments after, a stagehand signaled the performers and their team to hasten, prompting them to exit and take the stage. Pink titled her Instagram update, “A whirlwind of activities over the past few weeks,” and posted further glimpses of her Summer Carnival Tour.

Willow, being accustomed to sharing the stage with her famous pop singer mom, recently performed together last summer during the opening night of Pink’s Summer Carnival 2023 Tour, which coincidentally happened just days after Willow turned 12. Pink, who has consistently been a strong advocate for her child, demonstrated their tight relationship yet again through their recent performance at the Democratic National Committee event.

Pink’s spouse, Carey Hart, similarly showed pride in their daughter last summer. On social media, he shared, “I’m so proud of Willz for getting on stage with mama @pink !!! Must be a remarkable moment for mom to share with her little girl on stage.” He continued, “It seems like the first show of the tour was a success!!! I can’t wait to catch up at the end of this month and see it myself. Summer is work time.”
