Peter Dinklage & Uma Thurman Join ‘Dexter Resurrection’ for One Season as Showtime Eyes Multi-Season Run According to Rumors

‘Dexter’ is a crime drama television series that follows the story of Dexter Morgan, a blood-spatter analyst who moonlights as a hidden vigilante murderer. Originally airing from 2006 to 2013, this show amassed a significant fanbase due to its blend of tension and ethical quandaries.

2021 saw the continuation of Dexter’s tale with a spinoff titled ‘Dexter: New Blood.’ This is a follow-up to the original series that ended previously. It has been confirmed that there will be two additional spinoffs following this one: ‘Dexter: Original Sin,’ which began airing episodes on December 15, and ‘Dexter: Resurrection.’

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that a follow-up series titled ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ was announced in July during San Diego Comic-Con, with Michael C. Hall reprising his role as Dexter. So far, details about the show have been scarce, but recently, some intriguing tidbits have emerged.

More recently, it has been confirmed that Clyde Phillips’ upcoming series is set to debut in June 2025, and production will kick off during the first week of January. Now, Daniel Richtman, a well-known figure within the industry, shares some intriguing rumors about the show’s potential cast.

According to Richtman, Peter Dinklage and a character named Charley, who are portrayed as the villain and his fixer respectively in ‘Dexter Resurrection’, have contracts lasting one year. Uma Thurman has been offered the role of Charley. Therefore, these characters will only appear during this season. However, it is intended that the series ‘Dexter Resurrection’ will span multiple seasons beyond the current one, as planned by Showtime.

More recently, it’s been hinted that Richtman has disclosed the setting for the upcoming series – New York City. However, this isn’t officially confirmed yet. With the show supposedly being in production currently, we might hear an official debunk or confirmation about this speculation within the next few weeks.
