Peter Dinklage Reveals Surprising Reason Why He Liked The Controversial Game Of Thrones Finale: ‘Everybody Does Have…’

As a die-hard Game of Thrones fan who has lived and breathed Westeros for eight long, glorious seasons, I must say that Peter Dinklage‘s unwavering love for the series finale only strengthens my admiration for him. His ten years in the world of Thrones have been a rollercoaster ride, filled with drama, intrigue, and the occasional dragon-burned city.

Peter Dinklage recently shared his thoughts on why he liked the final season of the hit HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones. Dinklage played Tyrion Lannister in all eight seasons of the show and was one of the main characters throughout the entire series.

Yet, when it concluded following its eighth season, numerous viewers were disheartened, voicing criticisms over unfinished storylines and character developments that seemed incongruous. Despite this uproar, several cast members, such as Dinklage, have since openly expressed their affection for the series’ finale. To learn more about it, keep reading!

In a recent chat with Rolling Stone magazine, Peter Dinklage discussed his new Western suspense movie, The Thicket, and explained why he appreciated the finale of Game of Thrones. Earlier, he had expressed similar views about the show, which left some viewers still disgruntled by the conclusion. When asked about this topic, the publication wanted to know more.

In a chat, the actor shared, “Once again, just my perspective. I enjoyed the ending! You’re free to disagree with me.” He explained that if he had concurred with the unfavorable views towards the finale, saying, “Oh, I thought the finale was terrible, and the entire last season was dreadful,” it would have come across as more damaging than his candid expression of appreciation.

He mentioned, “I don’t represent anyone else’s views, and that’s what makes our work exciting since everyone has different opinions.” Highlighting that each individual has the opportunity to share their perspectives, be it through writing, conversation, debate, or even socializing over it.

The actor further mentioned,  “I think it means you’re doing something right. It’s like an old Irish way of looking at the world. There’s something wrong if everything’s OK.”

Peter Dinklage went on to express his immense pride in the Game of Thrones series and his character, emphasizing that he continues to hold a deep admiration for its creators, David Benioff and Dan Weiss.

He reflected on how the series spanned about ten years of his life, from the first time they told him about it to when they wrapped the final season. The actor added, “So that’s 80 hours of me! Everybody globally everybody got 80 hours of Dinklage. It’s bound to follow me around.”

Meanwhile, Peter Dinklage’s latest film, The Thicket, is now in theaters.
