The latest update for P5X is now available, continuing the Persona 5 crossover story and introducing a new Phantom Thief! It’s been a while since a new character was added, so this provides some fresh story content to enjoy while we anticipate the next part of the main storyline. Plus, you’ll get to meet one of the new Phantom Idols through a special Synergy Story.

New Phantom Idol – Futaba Sakura (Oracle)
The classic Navi is back, and Futaba is a fantastic addition! She has a unique ability to change an enemy’s weaknesses during battle, making them much more susceptible to attacks. She can also apply the Virus status, which lowers an enemy’s defenses to all elements – effectively turning perfect blocks into simple resistances, resistances into neutral defenses, and neutral defenses into weaknesses.
She’s a really strong character to get, particularly if you’re playing for free and have been collecting in-game currency.
The Crossroads of Fate: Pyramid Arc
Alright, so the next part of the Persona 5 and P5X story is finally here! This update throws us back into Futaba’s Palace – remember that huge, crazy pyramid from Persona 5? It’s awesome! Getting to play with Futaba on my team is a blast, and it’s going to be really cool seeing how she interacts with the rest of the Phantom Thieves, especially with Riko now part of the crew. Plus, there are a bunch of new bosses to fight for some sweet rewards. Can’t wait to dive in!
Returning Phantom Idols – Fox & Queen
Starting November 13th, Fox and Queen will be featured in special “Most Wanted” banners for two weeks. These powerful 5-star characters are a great addition to any team if you don’t already have them, and this is a good opportunity to increase their Awareness level if you do!
New Synergy Bond – Masaki Ashiya (Cherish)
Meet Masaki Ashiya, the newest Synergy Bond joining Persona 5 X! When Version 2.5 launches in a few weeks, you’ll know him as Cherish, the Phantom Idol. This update lets you discover his story up to Rank 10, giving you a chance to get to know him before he becomes playable. The rest of his story will be added in a future update.
Futaba Maid Outfit
I’m so excited for this update! They’re releasing a new outfit for Futaba, the Phantom Idol, and it’s her classic maid outfit! You might remember it from the Persona 5 DLC, and it’ll cost just under 3000 Meta Jewels. I can’t wait to get it!
New Phantom Pass
A new season of the Phantom Pass is now available! If you want to continue earning rewards for completing your daily, weekly, and seasonal challenges, you’ll need to purchase the new pass. Also, make sure to finish up the current pass before it expires!
