Persona 5: The Phantom X Version 2.2 patch notes

With October here, summer feels far away, but P5X is extending the fun with the second part of its summer update! Version 2.2 introduces the second of two summer characters, continues the beach event for the Phantom Thieves of Desire, and even lets you meet a brand-new character before they become a Phantom Idol in the next update, version 2.3.

Here are the full patch notes for P5X update 2.2, so you know everything to look out for.

New Phantom Idol – Seaside Tomoko/Summer Moko

This update introduces a new summer version of the Phantom Idol, Tomoko. She’s receiving a much-needed boost, as our character rankings previously placed her quite low. This new 5-Star version of Tomoko focuses on stronger Psy-based attacks, but she still mainly functions as a healer and support unit.

Summer! Swimsuits! Sea Time! Part Two

This update launches the second part of our summer event! In addition to the shooting challenge, you can now play Shaved Ice Shuffle – take orders from beachgoers to climb the ranks and win prizes. We’re also adding new bond scenes featuring Riko, Merope, and Shun. Once you unlock these scenes, you can enjoy watching fireworks with them!

Wonder Swimsuit Outfit

Following the recent update that added a swimsuit for Makoto, Wonder now also has one available for purchase. Like Makoto’s, it can be bought with Meta Jewels in the shop. There’s currently no set date for when these swimsuits might be removed from the shop, so you can buy them whenever you’re ready.

New Synergy Bond – Kira Kitazato (Messa)

This update introduces a new Synergy Bond character, giving players a preview of a future Phantom Idol. Kira Kitazato will become the Phantom Idol Messa in Version 2.3, but you can start building a connection with him as a Synergy character right now!

Synergy Bond Reset – Turnaround Tickets

We’re adding a new feature that lets you replay Synergy Bonds you’ve finished using Turnaround Tickets. This is mainly so you can earn all the rewards for each character in P5X – there are different rewards depending on whether you choose a romantic or platonic path.
