Persona 5: The Phantom X Version 2.1 patch notes

Even though it’s late September, P5X is kicking off its Summer event, which will last through the next update coming in a couple of weeks. The highlight is a new character called Tropical Motoha, a powerful ‘Bless’-type unit, plus a new story and some other smaller features.

Here’s a complete list of changes in update 2.1, detailing everything new in this P5X update.

New Phantom Idol – Tropical Motoha

This new character is the first ‘Phantom Idol’ available worldwide. She’s a unique version of an existing character, Motoha/Closer, redesigned for summer with a beach outfit. But it’s more than just a visual update – she has a completely different set of moves and abilities, making her a powerful, Bless-focused Sweeper who surpasses her original version.

Summer! Swimsuits! Sea Time! Part One

This update introduces a new story quest where the Phantom Thieves of Desire and their allies head to the beach for some relaxation and fun. Completing the quest’s challenges and objectives will reward you with items like Platinum Milicoins, Everlasting Incense, and Meta Jewels. The event runs until October 9th, and a second part will begin shortly after.

Summer Makoto Outfit

A new outfit for Makoto is now available in the store for 2,880 Meta Jewels. It’s a swimsuit from Persona 5, letting her join the other girls in their summer looks for this event. Just like other outfits, it’s purely cosmetic and won’t affect Makoto’s abilities or how she plays.

New Phantom Pass

A new season is here, and with it, a new Phantom Pass! Like previous passes, it features both free and premium reward tracks. Completing daily, weekly, and seasonal challenges will help you unlock valuable rewards as you progress.

Synergy updates

Kiyoshi Kurotani, nicknamed Key, has a newly updated backstory in the game. As you build your relationship with him and explore the haunted locations at school, you’ll unlock his complete story.

Fishing

Fishing is now available as a fun activity in the City Life update! After a quick introductory quest, you can start fishing, and it’s as engaging as any other fishing game you’ve tried.
