In just a few weeks since its release, Persona 5: The Phantom X has already received its first significant update. This is because the developers aim to synchronize the global versions of the game with the Chinese version, which is approximately one year ahead. Therefore, expect frequent updates over the next six months or so.

With this initial update, you’ll find an abundance of material to keep you engaged, especially if you’re feeling a bit low on content. It includes additional primary story elements, new Phantom Idols, and a plethora of side activities to explore. We’ll provide a comprehensive overview of all the changes in this update, so you’re well-informed about what’s new.

End of main story Chapter 2

If you reached the end of the second Palace but were disheartened because there was no boss fight, don’t worry! This update brings the final boss of this chapter for you to engage in a battle against the ruler of the Palace and conclude this part of the story. Although details are still unclear, players who have experienced the Chinese version of the game hint that this boss is particularly tough, so be prepared for a demanding confrontation.

New limited-time banner – Yui and Minami

From today until July 24th, you have the opportunity to obtain the top-rated characters, Yui (codename Bui) and Minami Miyashita (codename Mirian), from a newly introduced banner as part of this update. Unlike the Chinese version, Mirian will not be available on the standard banner once this limited-time event concludes, making now your unique chance to acquire her until we introduce reruns in several months.

Metro of Desire

In this fresh gameplay style, you’ll embark on a train journey through Mementos, aiming to reach the control center and defeat the boss for substantial rewards. During the ongoing Spin to Win Raffle event, which lasts until July 24th, you can win items like Platinum and Gold Tickets, as well as Milicoins.

Lufel’s Business Plan parts 3 & 4

If you’ve finished filling out the rewards for the first two sections of Lufel’s Business Plan, this update brings a new opportunity for you to acquire additional items: parts 3 and 4 are now available! As you progress, you’ll find various other perks as well. Successfully completing part 3 will reward you with a 5-star Cognitite Case, while completing part 4 will net you a 5-star Weapon Case.

New Synergy Bond – Shun Kano

In this latest update, Shun Kano is introduced as a fresh Synergy Bond character. You can access him through a side quest once you’ve finished the second Palace. New sub-stories

In this latest update, you’ll have an opportunity to interact with two fresh students from Kokatsu Academy in side-stories instead of Synergy Bonds, similar to Anderson and Minami who are already part of the game. Without revealing too many details, we have Ritsuka Takanashi, a vice president of the light music club, and Yota Kurusawa, captain of the soccer team. Once you finish their tales, you’ll gain access to some new City Life activities – let me tell you about them!

New City Life activities

Three new activities are being added for City Life in this update:

  • Part-time job at the Shinjuku Bookstore
  • Band club practice
  • Soccer practice

In the style of city life, using your action points here will yield a mix of money, social status boosts, and exclusive prizes.
