Persona 5: The Phantom X – Best Summer Moko build, team comp, and Revelation Cards

We’re excited to introduce our second summer character: Tomoko! This version, called Summer Moko, is a powerful 5-star character. It’s a welcome addition, as the original version of Tomoko wasn’t considered one of the strongest, as we discussed in our character tier list.

Summer Moko is a powerful character and a great addition to your team, so we’ve put together a guide on how to build her effectively.

What do Sparks and Summer Reminiscence do?

Moko’s special ability revolves around building up ‘Sparks’ on enemies. She can directly apply Sparks to foes, or empower her teammates to do so. Once an enemy accumulates 3 Sparks, Moko’s ‘Summer Reminiscence’ ability activates, triggering a powerful effect. This effect scales with the total number of Sparks on all enemies: for every 3 Sparks, you’ll deal psychic damage equal to 19% of Moko’s attack, reduce enemy damage output by 30% for one turn, and heal your team for 9% of Moko’s attack.

Okay, so this ability can hit enemies up to five times, which is awesome. Basically, I need to get 15 ‘Sparks’ stacks spread out over all the enemies to really maximize its power. And the best part? If I take out a weaker enemy, it doesn’t waste those Sparks – they just jump to another random enemy instead. That makes it way easier to keep the damage going!

How to use Summer Moko in P5X

Let Moko’s allies set up Sparks

Moko can create opportunities for her own special attack, ‘Sparks,’ with her ‘Have a Cold Drink’ ability. However, it’s more helpful to use ‘Hale Summer Days’ or ‘Sparkling Memories’ to let her teammates build up Sparks instead. This is particularly useful if you have characters like Panther or Summer Closer who can quickly apply multiple Sparks to enemies.

Have a Cold Drink for damage

After setting up with Moko (using Sparkling Memories the turn before is helpful to make enemies weaker), you can use Have a Cold Drink to start dealing damage when necessary. However, always prioritize healing if needed; otherwise, rely on Have a Cold Drink as your main damage-dealing attack.

Best team composition for Summer Moko in P5X

If you need some healing but don’t want to sacrifice a damage-dealing character, Summer Moko is a great choice. While Mirian is a stronger healer, Moko can still deal significant damage – and she also weakens enemies and boosts her teammates, something Mirian can’t do.

We suggest building a team around her damage-dealing abilities, but it’s good to have a Persona with some healing skills available, just in case Moko can’t keep everyone healthy. This is particularly helpful if you need to deal psychic damage, so you aren’t completely dependent on Moko for healing. Summer Closer works well alongside her, as Moko can boost Summer Closer’s power, and they both perform better when facing multiple enemies.

Best weapon for Summer Moko in P5X

In this game, weapons get stronger as you get higher-star versions. More stars mean better stats and abilities, so when building your character, always aim for the best weapons you can get. Below are the stats and effects for all of Moko’s weapons.

  • Sparklers (2-Star) – HP 94; ATK 29; DEF 15 – Increase Attack by 11.3%
  • Twinkling Sparklers (3-Star) – HP 113; ATK 34; DEF 18 – When activating Summer Reminiscence, decrease the target’s damage by 8.5%.
  • Ocean’s Tidings (4-Star) – HP 151; ATK 46; DEF 24 –Increase Attack by 12%. When activating Summer Remiscence, increase the user’s healing by 13% for 2 turns.
  • Bubble Babies (5-Star) – Increase healing by 22%. Increase multiplier for skill damage from Summer Reminiscence and healing by 18.5%. When activating Summer Reminiscence, increase the target’s damage taken by 8.5% for 3 turns. Stacks up to 2 times.

Best Revelation Cards for Summer Moko in P5X

Okay, so if you’re building Moko for the Summer event, I’ve found the best set hands down: Pleasure & Integrity. Look, Moko isn’t going to be your main damage dealer, but she does a solid job supporting the team and chipping in with damage, so that 10% boost to her Psychokinesis attacks is really helpful. It gets even better when there are a lot of enemies – you get another 15% damage increase! Then, pairing that with Integrity is huge because it adds 80% of her healing to her attacks, and she heals *a lot*, so it really adds up!
