Penn Badgley recently clarified some misconceptions about his child’s name. On Jimmy Fallon’s late-night talk show on May 1st, he addressed a longstanding speculation concerning his family.
Even though this might sound quite unusual, it’s our youngest one, who is just four years old… Everyone seems puzzled, wondering what he could possibly say next. Incidentally, I should clarify that his name isn’t James.
Badgley clarified that the misunderstanding originated from an incorrect detail found online. He explained, “On the internet, even on Wikipedia, for quite some time, his name was mistakenly listed as James. However, we’d always correct it, and it would revert back. His name is not actually James.
The actor, who has a four-year-old child with his wife Domino Kirke, found that false information about him persisted online, making it challenging to set the record straight. Feeling unusual about it, yet realizing he had a public platform, he decided, “Why not use this opportunity to clear up any misunderstandings?
Penn Badgley explained that even those close to his family were deceived by the fake name due to their internet perceptions. He added that people who hadn’t met them in a while would often send greeting cards addressed to “us all and James.
As an ardent fan, I’ve got to share this tidbit: Badgley himself didn’t confirm James as his boy’s moniker, instead keeping the actual name under wraps. He shared that their little one, just turning four, is to keep his identity private for as long as feasible. Intriguingly, he mentioned that it’s a fine name, indeed!
Apart from discussing his professional endeavors, the actor recently shared some exciting personal news – he and his partner, Kirke, are welcoming identical twin boys into their family this coming summer. He finds the experience exhilarating and referred to it as a refreshing jolt of reality. He also mentioned that viewing the ultrasound images continues to bring him joy.
Being an only child himself, he found a heartwarming scene when observing the twin embryos together. He humorously pointed out that their positions seemed reminiscent of a cozy hot tub setup. Additionally, he mentioned one ultrasound image where they appeared to be almost facing each other.
Badgley added that both their four-year-old son and Kirke’s 16-year-old son, Cassius, are eagerly anticipating the new arrival. He playfully noted that the little one is quite anxious to take on the big brother role, while the older teen is joyful for the family, but subtly hinted that he intends to move out in two years.
