At long last, HBO grants the eager followers of The Last of Us their heart’s desire. Recently, the production team unveiled a poster showcasing the upcoming second season of the post-apocalyptic suspense series, creating an air of anticipation among viewers.

In the recently posted photos, Pedro Pascal, known for his role as Joel in the mentioned series, is depicted standing with a slight backward turn. He’s also carrying his distinctive weapon and wearing a jacket, while a long road stretches out before him. The poster features the tagline, “Every choice comes with a cost.

In another picture, we see Ellie, portrayed by Bella Ramsey, advancing while holding a gun and a knife in one hand. The guitar she’s carrying appears to have moss or fungus growing on it.

Intriguingly, an additional image hints at the arrival of a much-anticipated character. Here we find Kaitlyn Dever dressed as Abby Anderson, strolling ahead yet casting a glance behind, clutching a firearm in her right hand.

According to the latest updates, the upcoming second season of The Last of Us promises an overwhelming amount of harrowing experiences and intense battles, all centered around a struggle for survival.

Instead of delving into the intricate bond between Ellie and Joel, where Joel sacrificed numerous Firefly operatives to protect Ellie in the first season, the upcoming season will highlight the aftermath of such events. Notably, the storyline will advance five years ahead.

In simpler terms, after spending five peaceful years apart since their initial experiences, old issues between Joel and Ellie resurface, leading them into disagreements and encounters with a world that proves to be just as perilous and uncertain as before.

The second season of The Last of Us will premiere on April 13 on HBO Max.
