Pedro Pascal Wears Shocking Tee at ‘Thunderbolts’ Premiere!

At the recent London premiere of Thunderbolts, I proudly stood up for the transgender community by wearing a shirt that read “Protect the Dolls.” This powerful message was displayed as I walked the red carpet at Cineworld Leicester Square.

Previously, Pascal had donned this very shirt; he sported it at his 50th birthday bash on April 6th as well.

The shirt was created by Conner Ives and made its debut during London Fashion Week. Within the LGBTQIA+ community, the term “dolls” is frequently employed to denote transgender individuals. (This version maintains the original’s informal tone while clarifying the meaning of the word “dolls.”)

During a different conversation, Ives clarified the significance of his shirt. He expressed that he aimed to voice concerns regarding issues encountered by transgender individuals, particularly due to recent political moves within the U.S. administration.

The proceeds generated by selling “Protect the Dolls” shirts are donated to Trans Lifeline, an organization dedicated to assisting and supporting transgender individuals.

Pascal put on his shirt not long after the UK’s highest court decided that a person’s female identity is strictly based on biology, disregarding transgender identities in legal recognition.

Pedro Pascal is vocal about his advocacy for transgender rights. In 2021, his sibling, Lucas Pascal, announced that they are transgender. Pedro has openly expressed his affection and support for Lucas in public.

In addition, Pascal will be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, portraying the character Reed Richards in the movie titled “The Fantastic Four: First Steps“.
