The Peaky Blinders are bringing a sequel series to Netflix, ordered for two seasons. Netflix announced this exciting news in a press release on October 2, 2025, much to the joy of fans. This new Peaky Blinders series will continue the story after the events of the upcoming feature film, which is currently being finalized.
There’s not an official name for what’s coming yet, but we can assume that Peaky Blinders will be somewhere in the title. We do know that each season will have six hour-long episodes and focus on a new generation of Shelbys who are into murder and mayhem. Here’s a quick logline that brings everything together:
Britain, 1953. Following the extensive damage from World War II, Birmingham is being rebuilt with concrete and steel, aiming for a brighter future. This new chapter in Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders sees a fierce and ruthless competition emerge to control the city’s large-scale reconstruction. It’s a time of incredible possibilities and serious risks, and the Shelby family finds themselves at the center of all the violence and upheaval. This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and danger, with the Shelby family right at its blood-soaked heart.
Cillian Murphy, beloved by many for his incredible performance as Tommy Shelby in the original show, will also be an executive producer on this new project. We’re really excited to see this crime drama return to our screens!
