2. ‘Task’ (2025)
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that a gripping seven-episode crime drama titled ‘Task’ is back on our screens! This time, the series delves once more into the gritty blue-collar Pennsylvania landscape, masterfully crafted by Brad Ingelsby, who also brought us ‘Mare of Easttown’. In this new production, I find myself right in the middle of it all as FBI agent Tom Brandis (portrayed by Mark Ruffalo), assigned to halt a wave of brutal home robberies.
Intriguingly, the cast includes Robbie Prendergast, played by Tom Pelphrey, who presents an ordinary family man with a hidden nightlife that clashes with our task force. The ensemble is a stellar one, featuring Emilia Jones, Thuso Mbedu, Fabien Frankel, Raúl Castillo, Alison Oliver, Owen Teague, Martha Plimpton, Jamie McShane, Sam Keeley, and others.
