Paul Wall Claims He Didn’t Know He Was White Till ‘Elementary or Middle School’; ‘All My Friends Were Black or Mexican or Asian’

In my personal journey, I’ve found that realizations from our childhood can often be quite intriguing. However, when it comes to Paul Wall, the comedic twist in one of his revelations had everyone laughing. The musician and jeweler shared a humorous anecdote about the moment he understood that he was Caucasian.

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share an intriguing tale that the artist recently shared on The Breakfast Club. He narrated an amusing incident where he found himself in a peculiar situation. He expressed his surprise when others informed him that he was white, something he hadn’t realized before. In his own words, “They would say, ‘You’re white.’ And I would respond, ‘What do you mean?’

Later, co-host Jess Hilarious inquired about the time when he first noticed his whiteness. He replied, “I’d say it was during my elementary or middle school years.

The rapper reminisced, “To be honest, most of my friends were Black, Latino, or Asian.” He elaborated that his childhood was spent in a vibrant neighborhood with a mix of cultures. Although there were some white residents, the predominant community was a melting pot of Mexican, African American, Vietnamese, Indian, and various other ethnicities. “In essence,” he concluded, “we had an amazing blend of growing up in America.

Additionally, he playfully commented that his mother too underwent a DNA test, discovering she was 3% of African descent. Laughingly, he added that this wasn’t sufficient for her to use the racial slur ‘N-word’, which garnered a few chuckles from those in attendance.

Regarding his professional journey in music, Wall’s recent album titled “Once Upon a Grind” marks his 15th solo project. This record boasts a roster of gifted artists such as Slim Thug, Crys Wall, DJ Fresh, Cartel Bo, Lil’ Keke, Eddie Coke, Big Tonka, Freeway, Big K.R.I.T., Rich the Factor, Young AI, and Termanology, as reported by Billboard.
