As a long-time Marvel enthusiast and avid fan of Paul Bettany‘s work, I couldn’t be more thrilled about his upcoming return as Vision in ‘Vision Quest’. The man has always managed to breathe such depth and humanity into even the most extraordinary characters, and I have no doubt that he will do so once again.
In the near future, Paul Bettany will once again step into his Marvel character in a project called ‘Vision Quest’. To prepare himself for this role, he’s planning on re-watching the series ‘Agatha All Along‘, as he feels there is much he needs to understand and incorporate into his performance.
The actor recently teased details about the new Disney+ series, where he’ll step back into the role of Vision, with a projected release in 2026.
At the Los Angeles premiere of his latest film “Here” on Friday, Paul Bettany shared that production for his upcoming Marvel series will commence next year. He hinted at an exciting project when he stated, “We’re working on something I’m really looking forward to,” playfully adding that he couldn’t disclose further information due to the risk of being “thrown into a ditch” (a colloquial way of saying someone who talks too much might end up in trouble).
Bettany also shared his thoughts on the ongoing Agatha All Along, a WandaVision spinoff featuring Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness. “I love it. I’m so proud of [showrunner] Jac Schaeffer, and I plan to watch it again because there’s a lot for me to learn as I prepare for my role,” he remarked.
In the upcoming movie titled “Vision Quest”, we’ll witness the reappearance of James Spader’s character, Ultron – an artificially intelligent entity first designed by Tony Stark to protect humanity, which eventually turned against them as shown in “Avengers: Age of Ultron”. This production is overseen by Terry Matalas, who is currently the showrunner for “Star Trek: Picard”.
