Patricia Arquette Talks About Late Lost Highway Director David Lynch; ‘There’s Nobody Like Him’

The demise of David Lynch has sent ripples of surprise through the heart of Hollywood and its most prominent figures. Among these A-listers, Patricia Arquette has voiced her reflections about the departed director.

Speaking about her recent attendance at the Marrakech Film Festival, Patricia Arquette mentioned a director she had previously worked with, David. She shared that the festival organizer, Melita [Toscan du Plantier], has a close friendship with him. This information was revealed during an interview on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, unbeknownst to her at the time, hours after the director’s unfortunate demise.

After mentioning that she was an actress from the movie “Little Nicky”, she further stated that she and her companions had been pondering over David Lynch. This conversation led her to pick up the phone and contact her buddy, Balthazar, saying, “We really need to meet up with David.

In addition to attempting to contact him by leaving a message, the actress from A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors expressed that she felt an intense urge to meet up with the director.

“David was really incredible. There’s nobody like him,” Patricia Arquette added.

If you haven’t heard already, Patricia Arquette and David Lynch worked together in the 1997 movie ‘Lost Highway’, a modern noir thriller. In this film, Arquette played two unique characters, and Balthazar Getty was also part of the cast.

In her debut performance, Arquette portrayed a character in a narrative centered around a jazz musician, played by Bill Pullman, who was falsely accused of murdering his wife. Subsequently, within the same movie, she assumed another role, this time in a separate storyline where a young mechanic found himself ensnared in a complex net of deceit, navigating between a dangerous femme fatale and her ruthless gangster lover.

78-year-old filmmaker David Lynch sadly passed away on January 15, 2025. His family confirmed the sad news through a Facebook post. It is known that he had developed emphysema due to prolonged smoking habits.
