In a joint collaboration, Haut et Court from Paris and Good Chaos based in London have successfully obtained the movie rights for ‘Paris-Hollywood,’ the first novel by author and critic Cécile Mury. Their goal is to adapt this novel into a feature film, seamlessly combining the enchanting allure of French and English romantic comedies on the big screen.

This narrative delves into the romantic tale of a French reporter and an American film actress, touching upon subjects such as affection, cross-cultural encounters, and personal growth. Haut et Court is renowned for creating top-tier movies and shows that have garnered numerous awards. Among their standout creations are Laurent Cantet’s ‘The Class,’ which bagged the Palme d’Or at Cannes in 2008, Yorgos Lanthimos’ ‘The Lobster,’ that received the Jury Prize at Cannes in 2015, and the critically-acclaimed TV series ‘The Returned,’ which was awarded the International Emmy for Best TV Series in 2013.

Among their upcoming ventures are ‘Sukkwan Island,’ a film directed by Vladimir de Fontenay and chosen for Sundance 2025, and ‘Case 137,’ the eagerly awaited next project from Dominik Moll, following his award-winning film ‘The Night of the 12th.’

Under the helm of Mike Goodridge at Good Chaos, there’s a stellar collection of movies on the horizon. Among their upcoming productions are ‘The Ballad of a Small Player,’ directed by Edward Berger and featuring Colin Farrell and Tilda Swinton, along with ‘Orphan,’ Laszlo Nemes’ historical epic set in 1957 Budapest.
