Paramount+ Confirms Mayor of Kingstown Season 5 as Final Season

Paramount+ has officially renewed Mayor of Kingstown for a fifth and final season.

The popular crime drama is coming back for another season with eight new episodes. Jeremy Renner and Edie Falco will both be returning as their familiar characters.

Mayor of Kingstown Ending With Season 5

Created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, Mayor of Kingstown centers on Mike McLusky (Jeremy Renner), a man with influence who operates within the harsh and often brutal world of prisons in the made-up town of Kingstown, Michigan.

Season five will bring the story to a close.

Paramount+ has confirmed that Mayor of Kingstown will return for one last season. The final season will have eight episodes and feature Jeremy Renner, an Academy Award nominee, and Edie Falco, who has won an Emmy and a Golden Globe.

The show’s fourth season concluded on December 28th and has a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

What Happened in Season 4

During the fourth season, Mike begins to lose control of Kingstown as new criminals arrive after the Russian mafia falls apart. This creates a dangerous power struggle and a gang war that puts the whole town at risk.

Things are really tough for Mike right now. He’s not only dealing with a strict new warden who’s making life difficult, but he’s also trying to keep his friends safe and finally confront some old problems that have been haunting him. As a fan, I’m really worried about him – it feels like everything’s coming at him at once!

Cast Returning for the Final Season

Season four of the show starred Jeremy Renner, Edie Falco, and a talented ensemble cast including Lennie James, Laura Benanti, Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Hamish Allan-Headley, and Nishi Munshi.

We don’t know yet who will be joining the cast for season five, but most of the main actors from previous seasons are likely to be back.
