The hit series “Mayor of Kingstown” will conclude with a fifth and final season on Paramount+. This last season will be a bit shorter than previous ones, consisting of only eight episodes.
Jeremy Renner plays Mike McLusky in this series, a man working to maintain a fragile peace between criminals, law enforcement, and inmates in the town of Kingstown, Michigan.
Season four concluded with Mike losing his grip on power as new forces emerged, leading to a dramatic and violent finale on December 28th. The upcoming final season will focus on the consequences of that brutal conflict.
The show stars Jeremy Renner and Dianne Falco, alongside Lennie James, Laura Benanti, Hugh Dillon (who also co-created the series), Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Hamish Allan-Headley, and Nishi Munshi.
Hugh Dillon revealed that he and the show’s creator, Taylor Sheridan, initially planned for seven seasons of “Mayor of Kingstown.” Though the show has been well-received by some critics, its viewership hasn’t reached the heights of Sheridan’s other popular series, such as “Yellowstone” and “Tulsa King.”
Jeremy Renner, along with Sheridan and Dillon, are executive producers on the show, working with showrunner Dave Erickson and Antoine Fuqua, among others. Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions created the series, and Paramount Global Content Distribution handles its distribution.
