2025’s most eagerly anticipated political thriller, “Paradise,” produced by Hulu, has been garnering attention with its intense narrative and shocking plot twists. Featuring Sterling K. Brown in the lead role, this series chronicles a high-stakes investigation into the assassination of President Cal Bradford. Unusual in its release pattern and praised by critics, “Paradise” is rapidly gaining momentum as one of the year’s essential viewing experiences.
Starting January 26, 2025, the unexpected debut of Episode 1, Hulu is planning to release Episodes 2 and 3 on January 28 at midnight Pacific Time (3 AM Eastern Time), with fresh episodes coming out every week. For our overseas audience, this series can be found on Disney+. ABC and FX will air it later, which is an unusual cross-platform strategy by Hulu. Episode 1 will make its debut on ABC on January 29 at 10 PM Pacific Time and on FX on February 1 at the same time.
It appears that Hulu chose to air the premiere before the scheduled date because of the episode’s surprising cliffhanger. As reported by Deadline, this tactic was designed to catch viewers’ attention right from the start. The series has garnered a 79% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics commending its gripping storyline and exceptional acting performances.
The initial season spans over eight full-length episodes, and the grand finale is scheduled for March 4. Creator Dan Fogelman, famously recognized for his work on This Is Us, holds ambitious aspirations for Paradise, aiming for a three-season run. He has promised fans that all significant mysteries will find resolution by Episode 7, with the finale neatly wrapping up any lingering plot threads.
The story revolves around FBI agent Xavier Collins, played by Sterling K. Brown, who delves into the murder of President Cal Bradford, played by James Marsden. Alongside him are Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, and Krys Marshall in other key roles. Creator Fogelman suggests that viewers brace for the unpredictable, as the narrative initially unfolds as a political suspense, but may veer off in unexpected directions.
Boasting an engrossing plot full of unexpected turns, Paradise is quickly becoming one of Hulu’s most successful shows this year. Catch fresh installments each week, only on Hulu.
